Volunteering at the 2018 London Marathon for CoppaFeel!

This year I volunteered at the 2018 London Marathon for breast cancer charity CoppaFeel! My role was to be on the cheer station and give all the runners as much cheering as possible as they whizzed past! If you're thinking of volunteering I would 100% recommend it as it's such a fun and and rewarding day. **I have only just heard about Matt who unfortunately passed away during the London Marathon. To show my respect I will be running the 3.7 miles this week as part of the #FinishForMatt campaign**

Vlog | Partying with CoppaFeel! & featuring on a podcast

Last weekend I was invited to 2 exciting events. The first one was the best party I've been to! It was hosted by charity CoppaFeel! and was all in aid of thanking everyone for their hard work that they've contributed to their amazing charity.

Quick ab workout

This quick ab blaster will only take 5 minutes but it's effective! Try and do it 3-4 times a week along with other exercises. I do this either first thing in the morning or after a HIIT class! (I filmed this video after a HIIT class so I was pretty knackered as you can tell!) Plus you can do it all in the benefit of your own home! I have added speed to this video - so you don't need to do them this quick! This is just to show what I do but you can do them at your own pace. Running my first half marathon | Training video

On October 8th I ran my first ever half marathon! I had 8 weeks to train and it was tough but I absolutely LOVED the experience. I ran the Royal Parks half in aid of charity for CoppaFeel!
Here is my video that followed my training and shares my experiences of my first half marathon with you! Thank you to everyone who cheered us on, thank you to my mum and boyfriend for coming to watch me and thank you to everyone who helped me with my training.

A week before Christmas we decided to spend 3 days in Amsterdam to see what all the fuss was about. If you haven't been to Amsterdam before, I would stick it on your places to visit list immediately. It definitely lives up to its reputation as one of the best cities in the world. Here's what we got up to - but there's so much to do that we are also considering booking a trip to go back in the summer.

BBC Good Food Show 2017

At the weekend I attended my first Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC and it was a food and drink lover's dream come true! This isn't the greatest video as I must admit I was a bit lightheaded after all the alcohol tasting!! The amount of Gin and Vodka I got to taste was bloomin' brilliant. If you're a lover of food and drink (and who isn't?!) then I would highly recommend this fab day out. You get to see live chefs, eat lots of cheese and cake and grab some GREAT bargains. Running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for CoppaFeel!

So that's it. As I'm writing this I can officially say I have completed my first ever half marathon! EEK. If you'd have told me a year ago that I would be running a half marathon I would have laughed in your face and walked away thinking you were a total numpty. But, here I am with a bloomin' medal around my neck and I officially have bragging rights FOREVER. 

I would never have classed myself as a runner, and actually, I still don't. I'm just as mind boggled as my old P.E teacher that I managed to cross a half marathon finish line. I mean, I do love to go to the gym, but I remember when I did my first Combat class and I left looking like an absolute beetroot. I vowed never to let anyone see me do exercise ever again. So why I thought letting over 16,000 people see me run with lovely red cheeks is beyond me. A couple of years ago I tried to go for a run around my local park. I jogged for about 3 seconds, couldn't breathe and had to stop. Then a lady went speeding past me with a buggy and looked at me all smug. I'd love to find her now and show her my medal. She may have ran with a buggy but I ran with a giant boob! So really, I WIN.

Yes. They are giant boobs on our backs.

30 before I'm 30

Every new year I make a list of things I want to accomplish during that year. You could call them new years resolutions, but they aren't really things that I want to necessarily change, they're more like things I want to achieve. This year, me and my group of friends all turned 28, and one of them decided to make a list of things that she wanted to achieve before she hits 30 and I thought what a great idea, so I've half stolen her idea (Thanks Gem) and decided to do a list of 30 before I'm 30!! Because lets face it, I ain't got long left!

This list has actually made me feel a bit better about turning 30! I like having things to look forward to and I like the feeling of having accomplished something. Next week I'm running my first half marathon (eeeeeek) and yesterday I actually baked something that worked and tasted really good! So slowly but surely, I'm ticking things off!
